Vietnamese Hut
After reading Joe K’s
take on Vietnamese Hut, the need to revisit this establishment grew stronger
day by day. With myself worked on the garden for >3hrs, I had the perfect
excuse to treat myself to a big bowl of pho. The clean and simply decorated
eatery houses a decent sized indoor dining area. After reviewing the usual
Vietnamese offerings, I confidently pointed to Pho Dac Biet (combination beef
rice noodle).
Pho Dac Biet: contains thinly sliced raw beef,
brisket, beef balls, tripe, tendon, French onions and chopped scallions. The
usual Thai basil and fresh bean sprouts was available on the side plate. A
taste of the broth left a big grin on my face. The near perfectly seasoned beef
soup presents strong beefy flavours with hints of basil and Chinese mix spices.
The broth presents a light mouthfeel with no trace of oiliness on the palate.
Paired with the tender meats and perfectly cooked rice noodles, you have one of
the best beef pho in Brisbane! An absolute treat this is! 4.5/5
